Hybrid Reality

The Project

As part of our master's curriculum, we were asked to create an exhibition to honor the Catalan Filmmaker, Joaquim Jordà. In collaboration with Professor, Writer and Exhibition curator Jordi Ballo, our aim was to transform a part of the University Pompeo Fabra, where Jorda was also a teacher, into his world, a place to be and not to visit. As a base we were given material from the archives of the filmmaker: images, more than a 1000 videotapes, books, magazines, political magazines, scripts, films, projects.

Joaquim Jordà

Joaquim Jorda is one of the most important Catalan filmmakers. His career influenced and inspired various other filmmakers, as well as his students. He was an ideologist of the Barcelona School Movement.

He became a big source of influence and a point of debate as his legacy lives on.
